Safety procedures for Biology:
ALL biology students must pass a safety quiz earning a 90% or better to participate in lab activities. After passing the safety quiz, they must sign a safety contract and have it signed by a parent or guardian and retun it to school. If the safety contract is not signed by student and parent and returned to school, the student will not be able to participate in lab activities until it is. Students will receive a score of zero on any lab activities they are not allowed to participate in until the safety contract is returned. Please print another safety contract below, sign it and return it to school if not done already! The FINAL deadline for turning in the contract is 10/9/09.

Peek at the week:
Monday- Finish Human Population Power Point Presentations. Review the option to redo your lab report (for apples and enzymes) *see link at the bottom of this page if you lost the rewrite sheet*
Tuesday- Review photosynthesis and cellular respiration. Bring your Power Point notes packet with you to check your answers.
Lab (period 6)-Photosynthesis dry lab
Wednesday- Complete lab information for the yeast and molasses lab. Answer the questions about cellular respiration, make sure you have a good hypothesis/problem/variables identified/etc...
Lab (period 3)-Photysynthesis dry lab
Thursday- Start typing yeast and molasses lab report, due next Friday (12/11/09)
Lab (period 4)-
Friday- Post task assessment on yeast and molasses lab activity (counted as a quiz grade) . Complete a venn diagram comparing and contrasting photosynthesis and cellular respiration (there will be a QUIZ MONDAY on photosynthesis and cellular respiration).
Homework:
Notes and activities from class should be reviewed daily! Remember to reread important sections in the text before tests/quizzes!
Students are responsible for any missed work! Work must be collected, completed and submitted within 2 days of missed class! Missed work can be found in the classroom folders.
