Welcome to Biology I

 

Biology I is a science class covering topics such as cells, human populations, genetics, evolution, and the classification of living things.

Student requirrement for class: three ring binder, pen/pencil, text book, highlighter (checked daily for participation grade)

    -HW completion is also a part of the participation grade!

Monday: Learn more about DNA by coloring the differnt components 

 

HW:  Practice bond pairing

 

Tuesday: Extract DNA and actually touch it during class!!

 

 

HW: Look over notes, there is a quiz Friday!

 

Wednesday: Take some notes about protein synthesis; following the notes, begin a hands on activity to learn more about the steps of the process 

 

 

HW: Start reviewing notes on protein synthesis/DNA for the quiz Friday

 

 

Thursday: Finish the protein synthesis activity

 

HW: Review the process of protein synthesis and STUDY  FOR  THE  QUIZ!!!

 

 

Friday:  Quiz on DNA  and protein synthesis; complete a crossword for EXTRA  CREDIT after the quiz

Make sure all missing or late work is turned in ASAP!  You are responsible for turning in missed class work and HW from absences, field trips, etc...  You may need to schedule time after school to make up lab activities.
